If unpolarized light falls under the Brewster's angle (polarization angle) \(\varphi_{\text B}\) on the interface of two dielectric media (e.g. air and glass) with the refractive indices \(n_1\) and \(n_2\), then the reflected light is completely linearly polarized perpendicular to the plane of incidence (s-polarization). The transmitted light, on the other hand, is only partially linearly polarized.
