Spiegel, WDR und sternTV. Reiki and I Liq Chuan?

October 18, 2024.

Greetings! I fell asleep yesterday around 10 p.m. I woke up once at half past midnight and again at 3:50 a.m. By 7:30 a.m., I was lying in bed, half-asleep, listening to a podcast from RadioWissen about sudden insights. By 8:00 a.m., I was fully awake.

This time, I didn’t make the same mistake of eating when I wasn’t hungry. Walking barefoot in the leaves

Around 9:00 a.m., I went to the Espresso House. It had rained earlier, and the ground was wet and cool, but just enough to feel pleasant. If I had to choose what I like the least about walking barefoot in certain conditions, it would be walking in the city after the rain. It’s much easier to slip, and the soles of my feet get soaked, making it easier for foreign objects to penetrate. Reading and learning in a quiet place

So far, the *Hildesheimer Allgemeine Zeitung* has not responded regarding the flyer situation. While at the café, I wrote to WDR, Der Spiegel, and sternTV, proposing a report topic: the leftist scene, which often does the very thing it tries to fight against—namely, the exclusion of people based on ideology.

I also researched a few things I had never heard of before. I took photos of some flyers from events at “wasmitherz e.V.”:

  • REIKI – translated as “universal energy.” REIKI involves laying hands on the body to promote healing. It aims to activate self-healing abilities, heal physical and psychological ailments, and free the mind from negative thoughts. The REIKI practitioner places their hands on specific areas of the patient’s body, allowing healing energy to flow into the patient’s body. According to some studies, REIKI can reduce pain, depression, and anxiety, enhance well-being, improve sleep quality, alleviate chronic conditions, lower cortisol levels, reduce burnout, lower blood pressure, and strengthen the immune system. (This is so fascinating! REIKI reminds me of how Jesus healed people through the laying on of hands. I’ll definitely dive deeper into this "superpower.")
  • I Liq Chuan – is a mindfulness-based martial art. It’s relatively new, founded in China in 1976. I’ve requested a free trial lesson in Hanover.

On the way to Julia, a woman from a hair salon across the street waved at me. For a moment, I wondered who it was. Eureka! It was the Moldovan woman from the bus who had felt my hands. I waved back. Then she pointed to her feet and gave me a thumbs-up. 😄

I arrived at Julia’s. Everything that happens now stays private, so I’ll say this: Until tomorrow! 👋

I am grateful for today:

  • For having the courage to write to different media outlets.
  • For receiving a thumbs-up for walking barefoot.
  • For being with Julia, and for growing in our relationship and getting to know each other better.
